I have made two very important discoveries this past weekend. Two discoveries which determine some tastes of mine in a more solid way. Medias have been perused for eons by my mind and now I have finally made a few decisions.

My favorite movie is The Nin9s. The Nin9s is a movie with Ryan Reynolds which is superbly intelligent. This movie came out in 2007 with minor pomp and circumstance before quickly not being shown anymore. Then the dvd came out with little to no announcement. I watched it shortly after its dvd release without being able to finish it, someone who shall remain nameless () returned it before I could. The first viewing definitely intrigued me and due to being unable to finish it, I rented it a second time and was able to see new things during my second viewing of the first 2/3s. When the end came, I was blown away. The end is alluded during certain parts and completely revealed near the end of the 2nd act. Yet I was still reeling from the acting prowess of the two actors, Ryan Reynolds and Melissa McCarthy, who easily ran with the script. Hope Davis is the surprising antagonist who offers the best twist of character role at the end. Overall this movie is intensely thought provoking and you'll recommend it to every friend you have. A definite must watch.

Now music. I've been a fan of Shiny Toy Guns since I first heart Le Disko on Sirius' Area 93. Lately I've been hearing them repeated more and more on my iPod and I've been listening to them on my Xbox while playing COD4 online. These events combined pushed me over the edge to purchase their most recent cd "Season of Poison". Oh man...this cd is intense. Coming from thinking they're an awesome alternative/electronic group, this album shatters that and causes the light of music to prism into a multitude of colors. "Money For That" is by far my favorite song on it, just the tempo and intensity of it makes me reach heights of almost nirvana (no not the band). Yet there are other songs which strike as melodic operas all the way to hardcore punk. The gamut is run here and they do it superbly. It is unfortunate the female lead is under continuous flux and a new one dominates this cd. Yet it cannot be said I hate this album. Their new single, which is not on 'Seasons' unfortunately, is a cover of 'Major Tom (Coming Home)' by Peter Schilling. This song I'm sure you've heard if you've seen the commercial for the new 2010 Lincoln MKZ. It rocks, plain and simple! New favorite band, done.
